I: with tensile placement, with hall billowing

Sunday laughter, parlay cockatiel mornings

...X between X between brief nickels

the girl with everything to hide places paintings

on the wall--ignore the cracks, dear, ignore

their irony: I am not old today--tomorrow begins

again the rigorous task of living

--counsel flesh to pliancy-- say skin does bend,
